We're so lucky to live and work in a beautiful and historically rich part of the nation. Oh, the stories our small towns could (and do) tell.

This bit of Custer history is located right in front of the Grace Coolidge Building. (Now the Custer YMCA on 644 Crook St.)

The sign on Custer's first jail reads: "Moved from its original location across the street, Wilbur Todd - its builder - was its first occupant. Having gotten drunk and disorderly on the money paid to him by the city for his work on the jail."

Crazy Horse Memorial is dedicated to honoring the memory of Crazy Horse, a prominent Native American leader of the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe.

The primary feature of the memorial is the colossal sculpture of Crazy Horse on the face of Thunderhead Mountain. This sculpture, when completed, will be the largest sculpture in the world, significantly larger than Mount Rushmore.
