Weather delays caused some issues with getting our exterior paint job completed but we can finally say our sweet Cricket Cottage is complete. 💚We just love her so much!

Behind the scenes and behind the walls at Cricket Cottage.

I wish these walls could talk. There is so much history in this house - over 100 years worth. There are layers of paint and layers of wallpaper and each one shows a little glimpse of past stories. We are doing our best to be good stewards to our sweet old cottage; her and her past are very special to us. While we are removing some of the old, we are preserving as much as we can.

I can't wait to share the finished project with everyone. 💚

Here's a little sneak peek of the changes happening at Cricket Cottage. She is getting some new color and fresh coat of paint. I'm loving the new color; it's really making the area feel fresh and clean while also maintaining the historical feel to the property. The stained glass windows really stand out, don't they?!

Renovations will hopefully be done ahead of schedule and we may be able to open bookings back up before March! I will keep you posted. So 👀 for my updates.

This month always seems to drag on and never end but guess what?!? The end of January is in sight! 🙌

There are only 2 nights left for booking in January. We will be closed all of February so if you are wanting a quick little visit to Cricket Cottage before March now is the time to book. Our March and April dates are filling up quick; book soon to secure your preferred dates.

Our sweet little cottage is in need of some maintenance and repairs and we want to keep her looking her best for all our lovely guests; therefore, will be closing down Cricket for the entire month of February 2022. Don't fret, she will be back open for guests at the beginning of March 2022.

It's an absolutely gorgeous December morning here at Cricket cottage! I am here with my mother-in-love enjoying the amazing weather, beautiful scenery and the Christmas lights downtown last night were gorgeous. It's so peaceful, quiet, and magical. I find mid-week stays at Cricket to be extremely rejuvenating. The peacefulness surrounds me. I love this sweet little cottage. 💚

We went hiking along Black Bass Lake a few weeks ago and it was a quiet, peaceful hike. The trail is only a 7 minute drive from Cricket Cottage so check it out the next time you visit. 💚

We love Eureka Dinner Club and this meal sounds absolutely delicious! 🤤 They are right down the street from Cricket and nextdoor to another one of our favorite places, Brews.
