Here’s a little video to show you how it sounded and what the crowd looked like.
Palermo boosts the third largest opera house in the world. And as crowds gathered on those steps, there was more beautiful music with a woman singer, and a harvest. So beautiful.
City center. There was always music from Street singers.
This is a little emotional for me. I was walking down the streets in Sorrento and stopped in my tracks when I saw a lovely couple dancing. I love to watch couples dance. It made me realize how much I would’ve loved to have a partner in life to dance with anywhere!I teared up and then I realized this is the song I danced to with my son at his wedding! So I did have that one magical dance with the most amazing man in my life.
Here’s the piazza for San G.
Here are random pics from my hike yesterday. Culminating is seeing the town was finally close.
Yesterday’s adventure was to walk one of the foot paths this area is known for. It was very challenging because the path was maybe 70% uphill. Sometimes just an incline and sometimes steps put together with rocks that are no way even and a little dangerous. I’m so proud of myself for taking the challenge. I could barely walk this morning, but that’s what advil is for, right? Pics below of beautiful scenery and some odd things that magically appear on the “trek”. First off, an accordion player!
This is a video of the area near the marina where I ate my ragu pasta.
Today I took the train to one of the sister towns in the Cinque Terre. Vernazza was very colorful and very much alive. Crowds were crazy. Here’s the piazza.
I swear Italians can make anything grow! Take a look at these vineyards I walked passed today.
