Today Merle with Almost Home Shelter spent the day with us. He got to visit with employees and greeted every customer that walked in the door. Everyone instantly fell in love with this gentle boy. He wasn’t too interested in taking brackets off of light fixtures but he did enjoy the burgers on his lunch break. Merle is still in a recovery program with a foster from being shot and nearly dying. He is close to recovering from being shot but then will have to start the journey of heartworm treatment. He still has a long road ahead of him. He checked on our box and was blessed by a volunteer from another rescue with some food and treats to take back to many more of his fellow Almost Home furbuddies that are ready and in need for their own furever homes. Asking why another shelter would help another?!? I was told because they are all in this together. These shelters and rescues along with all their volunteers are simply amazing angels. Their hearts are huge for these animals. Stay tuned as we will be featuring another lovable furbaby soon from The Charleston Dog Shelter.
