I would say one of the most still, reflective waters there is. Bloomington Lake Idaho. The only thing that ever makes it ripple is all the hundreds of rainbow trout catching bugs at the surface right as the sun is going down. "The magic hour." Haha

Bear Lake conditions, 9/11/2017:

Lake Temperature: @ 69.6 degrees as measured in the Bear Lake State Park Marina.

The State marina, First Point, Cisco Beach, and Rainbow Cove launch ramps are all open. The Rendezvous Beach launch ramp is open to launch boats less than 16' in length.

Current Lake Elevation: approx. 5921.15'.
2017 high elevation: 5922.35' (July 2017)
Full elevation: 5923.65'.

This past week, day time air temperatures have ranged from the mid 70's to the mid 80's. Nighttime air temperatures have ranged from the mid 40's to the mid 50's.

Camping reservations are still being taken for our Birch, Big Creek and Cottonwood campsites in Rendezvous Beach - through September 30. Our Rendezvous Beach, South Eden, and North Eden facilities will remain open until October 23, 2017.
