Just a few miles north of the Noble Bear lies this blueberry-lover’s paradise. Grab the kids for an afternoon of fun, and I bet you can almost smell that sweet aroma of a bubbling blueberry pie right now. 🥧 Pass the ice cream please!

Did you know that the 45th parallel marks the halfway point between the Equator and the North Pole? This line runs through several other towns in northern Michigan, but we are partial to Ga***rd’s charming marker sign as a great photo op, just down the road from The Noble Bear!

Springtime in Ga***rd means it’s morel season! Between the bountiful hauls and the picturesque landscape, it’s the perfect time for a hike though one of our many scenic trails.

Morels are often described as the “steak” of the mushroom world, a delicacy hidden among last autumn’s remaining dried leaves and the bright green mossy cover of early spring. While mouthwateringly delicious, this most sought after tidbit can be difficult to find, to say the least. We have.....

Definitely recommend. Autumn golf at its finest! 🍁 ⛳️

It has become a Blowup Hole tradition to play ThreeTops at the end of a golf trip up north. Ever since the first time I played this par 3, 9 hole course, I have told everyone I know to go play it and have always referred to it as adult putt putt.

These are some of the craziest par 3 holes you will ever see. The courses at TreeTops are all must plays, but there is something special to me about ThreeTops. Hole #3, "Devil's Drop" with its 145 foot vertical drop to the green. Hole #7, "High Five" with its 90 foot drop and the famous Lee Trevino hole in one.

Every hole has something special about it and all 9 can be played in about an hour and a half. There is no reason for you not to make it happen to play this course. Put it on your list to play.

Ever seen an elk herd up close? The nearby Elk Park in Ga***rd is one of our favorite places to visit, and do just that. Now is the perfect time to see these incredible (and huge) creatures. And bigger herds can be found a touch outside of town at the beautiful Pigeon River Country State Forest.
