Vintage Aviation

Vintage Aviation We also offer restoration seminars, and historical presentations, to schools and educators throughout the area. We look forward to flying with you!

Vintage Aviation is dedicated to preserving the history and memory of what most aviation historians agree on was the “Golden Era” of aviation – powered flight between the decades of the 1930’s and 1940’s. Our Western Colorado based operation keeps the memory of open-cockpit biplane flight alive by offering scenic flights in our newly restored WWII era 1942 Boeing Stearman aircraft throughout most

months of the year. Vintage Aviation is dedicated to keeping these old airplanes and their colorful history alive for future generations. Vintage Aviation offers you the chance to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity to fly in an immaculately restored WWII era biplane. We promise that your adventure will be one you treasure for many years to come. From the time you strap in until the time you step out of the cockpit – it will always be 1942 while spending your time with us! Are you struggling for gift ideas for Christmas, Birthdays etc? How about the perfect gift for the person who has everything - or for that World War II buff in your family? Vintage Aviation can make dreams come true, and we offer gift packages that you can surprise your loved ones with that include beautiful pictures of the Stearman and instructions on how to schedule the rides. Vintage Aviation offers you this taste of priceless history - while viewing the magnificent Grand Valley in a way you've never experienced before. From the time you arrive at the airport to the time you land, you'll be re-living history in a way that few will ever experience - and Vintage Aviation makes sure that your experience will be as authentic as possible.
• You will take part in a pre-flight inspection; the history of the aircraft will be a highlight of your tour.
•After being strapped into the front cockpit, you will don a cloth flying helmet and goggles. Your pilot will talk to you on the intercom while taxiing and throughout the flight to make sure you understand what is happening throughout each stage of flight, and to ensure that you are having a great experience.
•Once on the runway, your pilot will advance the throttle and you'll soon be experiencing what it was like to fly during the 1930's and 1940's! As you accelerate down the runway, the tail of the aircraft will lift, and you will enjoy the thrill of one of the greatest adventures of your life! At Vintage Aviation, we pride ourselves on professionalism and perfection. Thank you for visiting our site and please contact us if we can be of assistance in any way.
