It was a dark and stormy night on the mighty, muddy Mississippi! The darkness is deep, but the lightning is *lit*! #brightlightsbigbooms
The Holiday Express has come aboard, whistle, steam, and all!
I started my Columbua and Snake River experience with a high-octane jet boat ride 65 miles up the Snake, to Hell('s Canyon) and back! It's an available pre/post part of our CSR cruise and definitely a must-do!#highlyrecommend #SnakeRiverAdventures
American Harmony rafting to American Song
If you haven't river cruised, you may not be familiar with "rafting", the practice of stacking ships at one dock. Today we needed to do just that, as our sister ship, American Song came into port. We moved out, Song pulled in, then our captain masterfully brought us back alongside her, and we tied off. I decided to try my time-lapse option to capture it... 7 minutes IRL, distilled to 28 seconds! #impressiveboathandling #smallshipcruising #cruiseclosetohome
American Harmony headed for port
I'm aboard our beautiful American Harmony, as we prepare to celebrate our impressive new dock at the Port of Kalama. After a ceremony with the city tomorrow, we will sail out to Astoria, spend a day there, then return, while the cruise continues for our guests on the Highlights of the Columbia itinerary. I'm lucky to call this work! #smallshipcruising #UScruising #cruiseclosetohome
