"Dung beetles are highly utilitarian and wonderful recyclers, and some species navigate by the polarization patterns in moonlight. Since I was a kid growing up in Zimbabwe, my 3 brothers and I were fascinated by these beetles which we encountered on every safari my Dad took us on. We marveled at how they pushed their dung balls backwards with their long hind legs, and still managed to keep a straight line. As boys do, we had to test them by putting sticks or rocks in their way, and then watch them navigate around the obstacle and carry on in that same straight line."

Africa is bigger than the United States, China, and Canada put together, and this remarkable journey will reveal a diversity of landscapes and wildlife that is hard to imagine: http://info.bushtracks.com/private-jet-african-safari-expeditions
In over thirty years of designing private air expeditions, we’ve identified the very best, most authentic and stylish properties. Some within legendary destinations like the Masai Mara; others on private concessions where we are often the only group, giving you exclusive access to exceptional habitats and wildlife viewing opportunities, and where, after an active afternoon on a game drive, a bush walk or a photo session, we can sip a leisurely sundowner from our mobile field bar, free to enjoy the sunset without the crowds.
Our private jet and bush craft will transport you with ease and comfort, revealing unforgettable vistas of the terrain and wildlife below – from Ethiopia’s rugged historical highlands to Kenya’s expansive short grass plains, from Zimbabwe’s mighty Zambezi river to the diverse Cape Floral Kingdom, to the world’s largest inland delta, the Okavango in Botswana. Add to this natural tapestry the stunning volcanoes and forests of Rwanda, the Sahara and the legendary Nile river in Egypt, and you have a journey that is simply extraordinary.

Bushtracks traveler, Dawna Komorosky, just returned from Kenya and shared these inspiring photos with us. "It truly was a trip of a lifetime and I have so many great pictures to remind me of this special trip! (Mt.) Kilimanjaro came out briefly at Tortilis Camp, and there were large herds of elephants and zebra in the flats and swamp. At Loisaba Tented Camp I went on a walking safari and met the anti-poaching team, and on the last day we saw some cheetahs. The Star Beds at Loisaba were amazing."

On our Private Jet expedition with Jared Diamond, we flew over the #GreatMigration in the Masai Mara and Serengeti ecosystem. A wonderful lifetime memory, and one I hope all our @Bushtracks travelers get to experience!
Take a look. This is "camping" on a @Bushtracks safari.
