Good morning, Friends and Family,

I need your help with donations, and with spreading the word:

I'm picking up the uhaul truck at 9:30am in the morning from A Shore Move and planning on accepting donation drop offs from 9am to 6pm until I deliver to Upstate SC/WNC next week on Tuesday morning.

I also wanted to see if you would share this list of things:

Donations Accepted 9am to 6pm
Thursday October 3rd until Tuesday October 8th
Delivery departing on Tuesday Oct. 8th at 9:30am

Acceptable items include:
Bottled water
Non-perishable food items that do not need to be cooked
Manual can openers
Plastic utensils
Diapers Baby wipes Baby formula
Toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine hygiene products)
Large trash bags
Buckets Tarps
Heavy duty gloves
First aid kits
Pet food
Flashlights
Gas cans (empty)

🔴Important Public Service Announcement

Stone Chimney has a barricade detour but most parts are open.

Take that out of Holden and into Holden from 211 to help with traffic congestion on 130.

From Sabbath Home Rd to Stanley Rd is Old Ferry Connection.
Stone Chimney Rd turns at the intersection of Stone Chimney Rd, Stanley Rd, and Old Ferry Connection, goes through Varnamtown, and ends at Brown's Landing.

There is a small detour around Sabbath Home but the GPS will detour you around it. At least you will be moving and not sitting in a line of traffic on 130.

It is never tooooo soon to think about booking a winter getaway to Holden Beach NC!!

The holidays are the perfect time to escape and enjoy the festivities!

This is a shout out to several amazing and talented people in our area that helped us celebrate a wedding of dear friends this weekend!

We were blessed to have the best of the best in the area to help make this wonderful wedding celebration the best!

If you know anyone planning a special dinner or event these people are amazing and are so helpful!!

If you need an amazing chef for an event, I highly recommend Chef Brad - his food was delicious and the seafood boil, oysters and crablegs were out of this world as well as his salad and delicious hush puppies. He was our lifesaver and enabled us to be free to do what we love doing ….and that was decorating and entertaining and not cooking!!!!!!

If you need the perfect venue and caterer my second recommendation goes out to
Coastal Catering and Events
at Lockwood Folly!
The food was delicious and Chef Joe was top notch and very, very kind and accommodating. Melissa and the staff served delicious appetizers and entree dishes that were out of this world. The food was mouthwatering and prepared with amazing quality and care. Never have I had such delicious wedding food at a sit down venue….ever!!!! Everything was just perfect and the view of that beautiful venue was spectacular looking out over the water! The bride and groom were so impressed with Joe and staff how accommodating they all were !

My third recommendation goes out to
Cakes by Care for the beautiful and delicious wedding cake and grooms cake! The cakes were exactly what was wanted and were perfect for both events. We appreciated the artistic creativity and the fact that the cakes were delivered to each venue in tact and with TLC!

Thank you to each of these amazing vendors and extraordinary talented food artists and chefs for making this wedding weekend so special and memorable!!!!!

Excitement abounds - Debby did not take all the turtles nest!!!

Please be careful and watch out for nests and remember to turn off your porch lights so as not to confuse the baby turtles!!
