It recently underwent a complete restoration and continues to look wonderful today. Homosassa is a lovely fishing town located along the banks of Florida's Gulf of Mexico coast, home to the famed Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. The town is a paradise for nature and water sports enthusiasts, a great place for scalloping in the summer also offering opportunities to snorkel alongside native populations of West Indian manatees and view animals such as American alligators in their natural habitats. Unique attraction Monkey Island preserves a habitat for spider monkeys, while nearby Little Tigertail Island is known as one of Florida's top seasonal holiday resort areas. Visitors can also attend the city's annual Homosassa Arts, Crafts, and Seafood Festival, held each year in November.

Floors are out and the drywall has been cut up. Waiting for it to dry out and the concrete drywall to arrive. Mr Rick and my husband have been working hard at getting the Sheppard House put back together. Our hearts go out to our neighbors that lost everything❤️‍🩹

I was able to work in the backyard of the Hampton House today while Sean helped me, wheelbarrow by wheelbarrow, pull all of the branches and moss out to the street. Meanwhile, Mr. Rick and my husband continue to pull out the floors in the Sheppard house and all the wet furniture.

The yard at the Hampton House is quite a mess. And the poor little Sheppard house out front unfortunately is sopping wet. The floors are not supposed to be black. It’s supposed to be hardwood floors. You can see the waterline went halfway through the air conditioner, in one unit and definitely covered all the power plugs throughout the whole house. So sad. So much work to do😬

Here we go again. Hurricane 🌀 prep. All of the outdoor items are in the Hampton House garage. For smaller house out front, the Sheppard House, all the indoor items were lifted up. Praying for the homes in old Homosassa. Seek shelter my friends.

Hello baby gator 🐊 I saw this little guy sunning out by the canal while I was cleaning off the fence. I kept looking around for momma, thankfully I never saw her. Hampton House and Sheppard House are fine. We cleaned up the yard, lots to burn now. Just waiting for the water to dry up. So grateful Sheppard House didn’t flood🙏
