Just down the road from Cedar Cliff Cottage you can explore the local flora and fauna at Kerr Wildlife Management Area. Daily self driving tours are available during daylight hours. Click the link for a map as well as more detailed information.

Cedar Cliff Cottage is located in Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's "Heart of the Hills Loop" nature trail. This trail gives several locations to visit and take in the wildlife of the area. Click on the pins for specifics on that location, including how to find it and the wildlife you can expect to encounter.

From the intersection of FM 187 and TX 39, go 8.5 miles east on TX 39 to Lynxhaven Lodge. Park in the vicinity of the Lodge, or a bit downstream toward Hunt.

An online ad caught my attention, so now we have another cool addition coming to the cottage. The back deck will soon be warm and cozy in the colder nights and days.

We did a few deck repairs and improvements, including a new gate to keep the little ones a bit safer by installing a baby gate.
