The holiday season is here and nothing seems to warm up the cozy little cabin like a lit tree. December might very well be our most favorite month of the year!

Cedar. It's all green and lush and joyful right now. We'd say it's our favorite time of year, but the truth is, every season is our favorite! The changes are visible despite the fact that we are in California. It's one of the advantages to be at such a high elevation and we're here for it.

When we first bought the cabin, there were few closets and I use that term very loosely! After quite a bit of demo, we were able to make the most of the space and add 3 to the two rooms upstairs along with some drawer space in an otherwise tiny space. These little bins are made of felt and from IKEA. They've come in handy when I've stayed there and keep things looking crisp and organized.
Such a lovely review. It just makes our hearts sing when others find this little retreat to be as wonderful to be in as we do.

The night chill is leaving us. Well into Spring now, you won't be needing blankets to keep you warm. But it is lovely having them around just in case. Cozy is key in all things.

Because we have been Digital Nomads for over a decade now, having an where there is a work space is so critical, it was one of our top priorities when setting up our little cabin. High speed internet, big desk, hook ups and even a printer (out of picture) is there along with my personal favorite - amazing light and gorgeous trees peeking in through the windows. It's a great place to remote work for weeks on end.

We're right at the edge right now. The Spring days are warming up, but the nights and early mornings are still chilly enough for the cozy comfort of a well worn pair of Uggs.
It officially becomes Spring for me, when they get put away towards the back of the closet to be replaced by cooler shoes.

There is nothing like waking up to the bright sun dappled through the tall cedars, pines and oaks we have on the property. Each tree is a joy and a full being in their own right. And each morning they greet you through the windows, the sky lights and the second you step out the door.

There are three main roads up to Idyllwild. The truth? They're all gorgeous drives. Each one leads down to different towns with different things to explore, but all you'll really want is to head back up where the trees are tall and welcoming.
