🗓️ Sunday, November 10, 2pm-5pm
📍Meet at Nevada Nordic Upper Gate
The group will be working on cutting down stumps and building ramps around them in The Bowl area so Clearapathra (the new snowcat) won't hit them.

Wear long sleeves and long pants. Bring work gloves, chainsaws, axes and pry bars if you have them.

🚨 Here we go! just announced that opening day will be THIS FRIDAY!
⛷️With the highest base elevation in Tahoe of 8260', Mt. Rose will open the Lakeview Chair with access to 1000 vertical feet of early season action. They will also be running the Magic dual conveyor for beginners and those who want to warm up their legs from summer hibernation.
🏂The Pondo park will be open from day one, with limited features to be announced soon.
❄️Cooler temperatures and that high base elevation will allow them to continue snowmaking on more terrain.

🐶It's dog season! As of October 15, good dogs on leashes no longer than 6 feet, are allowed at .

🚨As an outdoor recreation area, Sand Harbor State Park has wild animals that roam and live here including bears, coyotes, bobcats, large raptors, and more. We imagine your pet wouldn't enjoy an unsolicited encounter with any of our wild friends, leashes are for your pet's safety as well.

🐾Please remember to be a responsible pet owner, clean up after your pet, share the trails and beach with others, and be respectful of other peoples/pet's boundaries. If someone tells you that their pet isn't friendly, it's not up to you to decide any differently.

You will be sitting in the sand. There are no lights in the park after dark, and it does get pretty chilly after the sun goes down. Bring blankets, chairs, snacks, and a flashlight and join us for a classic spooky season movie.

Movies start at 7 pm and are free to watch, however, park entry fees still apply per vehicle.

We are so grateful that our amazing community rallied around our efforts to purchase a used snowcat from Diamond Peak in the early days of Nevada Nordic. YOU helped put Nevada Nordic on the map and grow into a respected winter trail network. We now groom nightly and welcome 1,000 visitors a week!

Thanks to the incredible, ongoing support of THIS community and the individual support of donors like YOU - we’re ready to step up our game. A new snowcat to navigate our challenging terrain will ensure reliable corduroy for years to come!

🎃 Come pumpkin spice season, there's a lot of fun to be had in Lake Tahoe. 🎃

This event series is one of the most special Spooky events. Bring the family and join the community at Sand Harbor State Park for Halloween movies and Trick or Treat Fun! Movies run Fridays September 27 - October 31 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Sand Harbor Stage. The event is free, but park entry fees apply.

Movies will vary from G Rated to R Rated; viewer discretion is advised and is the responsibility of each party/parent. Visitors should come prepared with blankets or chairs, a flashlight, and warm clothing. Sand Harbor will not be offering concessions and does not have lighting after dark.
