Maui is open! There is a lot of wrong information going on out there about Maui and short term rentals, tourists, etc.
Until it is official, Maui is welcoming all. And our condo has dates available. Check out our calendar that is always up to date.

Good news is flight prices have gone down!

IF there is a change to short term rentals, it isn't until at least January 2026 for our part of the island in terms of short term rentals. So book your stay now while you can stay somewhere other than costly hotels (where prices are going up even more).

PLEASE READ - A message from the Honu (Sea Turtles) of Hawaii:

We love to share our beautiful home with the millions of visitors who travel to Hawaii each year!

PLEASE keep our message in mind if you happen to see us during your visit.

The beaches you lay on and walk on are our homes so PLEASE leave them cleaner than how you found them. We use these beaches to eat on, take naps and to protect our young babies.

The ocean where you swim and enjoy time with your family is the same ocean we use to swim with our families. It is where we eat and where we teach our babies how to hunt and survive, but most of them won't.

We enjoy sharing our island paradise, but keep in mind that your vacation spot is our home.

Here are Honu Rules we can all live by:

- If you see us on the beach, be sure to take plenty of photos - (some Turtles like 'Shelly' live for having her photo taken) but do not get closer than 50 feet. We use the beach for sleeping and resting and it makes us nervous when you are too close.

- PLEASE do not hit us, throw rocks at us or get close to us for a photo. If I am on the beach I am resting. If I am in the surf trying to get to the beach PLEASE let me - I am very tired.

- NEVER touch us - it can make us sick and it certainly makes us nervous, plus you could be fined up to $1,500.00.

- The Beaches are our homes so please keep them clean. If you see any trash or plastic, PLEASE pick it up so we or our babies do not think it is food and eat it. We all have that one friend who leaves trash when they visit - don't be that visitor please.

- If we swim close to you, we are just curious but please just observe us, do not touch us and let us swim along in our home.

- If you see anyone touching us, or getting too close to us, please help us and contact: NOAA Office of Law Enforcement Hotline: 1-800-853-1964.

- We can use more help to protect us, so if you are interested in volunteering a few hours to help our families, go here: https://www.wildhawaii.org/get-involved/

Haleakalā National Park’s Summit and Kīpahulu Districts remain closed to the public through the evening of Friday, August 18, 2023. Please do not attempt to visit the park during the closure as both districts are closed to entry.

Camping reservations for Hosmer Grove, backcountry tent camping and cabins, and Kīpahulu campground for August 16, 2023, through August 19, 2023, are canceled. Sunrise reservations for August 16, 2023, through August 18, 2023, are canceled.

Thank you for your patience with the continued park closure which is in place to keep visitors safe and reduce demand on Maui’s over-extended emergency services.

Any changes in the park’s status will be posted at www.nps.gov/hale.

Update as of Thursday: while Lahaina has been hit hard, our side of the island and the fire are under control.
