Newly Constructed Modern Lake House for Rent in Lake Lure, NC

The plan for this lake house started in Fall of 2014. We hope you enjoy!

My wife, Brittany, and I had just sold our house in Charlotte and were trying to decide what to do with the equity. My Uncle Rich and Aunt Vickie (www.guthmannconstruction) had recently renovated their mountain house in Rumbling Bald Resort ("Lookout Lodge" at 204 Bee Tree-- look them up on VRBO) and had success renting out their house when not using it personally. So we pitched the idea to Ashley

, and her husband Myles, owner of Westwood General Contractors in Charlotte (www.westwoodcharlotte.com) to build a mountain house within the same resort. Myles and I had built several houses together previously and Ashley is an accomplished Interior Designer, so we knew we had the right team for the job. Myles and Ashley agreed and almost three years later here we are with Ashley's take on a "modern lake house."

The 2022 summer season is nearly upon us which also means the Rumbling Bald outdoor pools are opening soon!

Between our Trout Stream Pool complex and Apple Valley Pool, lodging guests and members alike will have a place to kick back and relax beside the water. May marks our reopening season (pending county pool inspection) with the following hours:

• Trout Stream Pool & Lazy River
Weekends only (Saturday & Sunday) starting Saturday, May 7th
Open daily starting Monday, May 30th

9 – 10am (adult swim)
10am – 8pm

• Apple Valley Pool
Open daily starting Saturday, May 7th

10am – 8pm

Please note, both the Trout Stream and Apple Valley pools are open to RB Lodging Guests and Members only. Guest passes and Member IDs are required for entry.
