I was studying theatre in college when I first heard about Alba and I thought it was just going to be another acting technique. I didn't think it would change my life, how I see myself, how I see others, my ability to judge myself, let things go, calm down or even just smile effortlessly for a family photo. As I continued to study and use Alba, I found it is indeed a very powerful emotion recall technique for actors, giving the ability to switch intense, raw emotional states on and off with speed and accuracy and then leave it all on stage when you exit. I also found, as so many other people did, that Alba was changing my experience of life, my emotional communication with the world and my perception and appreciation of others. I spent the next 4 years after college attending as many workshops and meeting as many Alba instructors as I could until I earned my own teaching certificate in 2011. Since then I've worked with several theatres, universities, holistic centers and individual students and every experience has been so rewarding. Actors love the freedom and control, business professionals love boosting their EQ and like-ability, holistic practitioners love the grounding and clearing, everyone loves feeling more human and I love showing people Alba!
