What a difference in 3 months. Investors are banking their confidence on Wall Street with Compass and The Real Brokerage. Both have doubled in market valuation and are great stocks to own.
The real estate market is going to be fine. In 24 years as an agent, I know the price, terms and leaders are always changing.
Years ago, around here it was companies like Hallmark and WalMart that took care of their employees. I appreciate that there are still a lot of great companies that invest in those that invest in them.

15 months ago, The Northrop Team left RE/MAX to join Compass. It was a great decision. The real estate business has been challenged ever since with rising interest rates and yet great Realtors get up everyday and bring value to our buyers and sellers.

There has been recent national news about how Realtors are overpaid and we need to be sued.

Over 90% of the time, we help homeowners (like this morning on the 6th floor of the Johnson County courthouse - in the distance) make a plan to move forward together and we are NOT paid.
$10.58 out of pocket for a coffee & scone + gas, vehicle, time, office rent, 3 MLS fees, insurance, advertising, remodeling expenses, staging and stress so that maybe we can have an opportunity to get a property all the way to closing day 30-90 days later so our offices can earn a 100% satisfaction commission.

Realtors give our money and time to clients everyday across the nation with the hope that one day they will agree to a contract when we can pay of our investment in them and feed our families.

It’s a rewarding job because it’s taking risks everyday on people to change their lives.

This is Robert Reffkin, founder and CEO in our NYC HQ in mid May where he is often invited to speak on CNBC. A very wise leader.

Listings are up, but so are interest rates (even more). Now is a good time to buy while you can with a lender that will refinance the rate with you later before purchase competition comes back and prices go up more.
