Thursday we decided head up during the calm before the big storm ❄️ and in 28 years of the Gohlke Getaway, I have never been snowed in or wished for a 2-stage snow thrower like I do today 🤣 gearing up for some riding! ⛄️❤️ Mike fixed the broken snowmobile so maybe I will ride on my own ❤️ our 1997 Polaris XLT touring sleds will have some fun today! Stay warm my friends - the Arctic air is on its way and 3 more inches expected today with more LES behind that! Let’s Ride!

For 55 years, no matter where you go, to mention Lewiston is to trigger the excited response, “Talley’s!” They’ve put us on the map and etched us in so many memories. Tonight, the tent is up, the staff is ready, the food trucks are being prepared, the band is on its way and tomorrow, Saturday the 16th., the biggest and best party of the summer will happen. The food trucks and beer tent open at 5:00 p.m. and the music and fun starts at 6:00 p.m. It’s pretty amazing when a local business throws a big party to thank a community for their faithful support and true friendship. On the same corner through buggies and Buicks, this great establishment with its fine food, fabulous staff and down home atmosphere has always been the first to support local charities, a true champion in encouraging civic ventures and a strong employer in providing many of our youth their first good job. Stop in and say hi to Bird, Mo, Tyler and their great staff! Happy 55th Anniversary!

The Vineyard was planted on May 8 and is doing very well. Originally we thought two vines out of 10 died and when we came up this weekend to clean out the Vineyard, we discovered one -the runt of the litter is Now a foot tall. We have nine instead of 10 😊 We also discovered the quaking Aspen. When in distress it sends sucker feeds out with tons of little trees 😞
