The Best of New Zealand plans, organizes and executes custom itineraries for individual travelers, families and golf club professionals. Our goal is to ensure our your trip to New Zealand is properly planned and executed- on your terms.

We believe it’s more than unfortunate that anyone should visit New Zealand and not return appreciating what makes it a truly special country. Yet, too often do people casually spend their leisure time inefficiently- exposing them to the risk of returning from their golf trip or vacation with less than stellar memories.

Why?

1) Availability to information does not make one an expert. We invite clients to do their research and come with an opinion on how they would like to spend their time in New Zealand. However too many people will rely upon unreliable resources in their planning process and base travel decisions around commonly available information on the internet. The end result is feeding the same over-crowded activities and staying in accommodations with large marketing budgets... delivering perhaps less value per dollar.

This is not to say that luxury properties do not deliver value! There is a difference between cost and value with some luxury accommodations in New Zealand punching well above their weight in terms of service and appointments.

Trusting Strangers?: Popular travel site reviews, no matter how well intentioned, come from unknown perspectives. The Tick-Tock Inn and the Four Seasons both receive glowing reviews but are normalized because they both receive 5-stars! We all know the quality of a Four Seasons, but can we say the same between competitors offering trips to Milford Sound? Alternative B&B accommodations? What time of year to visit versus another?

Trusting Friends? To combat the deluge of information available we solicit input from “trusted sources” like friends and coworkers in our decision processes. When it comes to New Zealand however who is to say they they know the alternatives? A single trip does not make someone an expert. Things change and our individual preferences are are own.

2) People are deterred from using a travel specialist because they think that it may be more expensive even though our company charges the same retail prices as one would pay by booking direct. In any case, it is a false economy to try to save a few dollars in mental labor, when without it one will incur a higher cost in terms of loss of time and inefficiency. Any extra expense that our clients pays using our service (i.e. a refundable fare vs. where money can not be gotten back should an emergency arise) is nominal compared to the total capital expenditure. Surely a small sum to pay for the assurance and risk mitigation provided through our expertise would be worth the value of a better time while in New Zealand.

We have access to the same, if not more information, and combine this with relationships throughout the country. Our team knows when there is an ownership change.
