In addition to Pompeii, the Roman town of Herculaneum was also destroyed by the erruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, causing it to be buried under 66 feet of ash. One of the most famous houses in Herculaneum is the House of the Neptune Mosaic. This house is fairly small yet well decorated and seemingly belonged to a wealthy family.

Don't know why this hasn't received more publicity, but this fifty-foot sculpture was unveiled recently in South Dakota.
It's called 'Dignity' and was done by artist Dale Lamphere to honor the women of the Sioux Nation.
