Ships Voyage - The JFK Renewal Project Seeking to bring enhancements to JFK Fieldhouse to improve the experience of both attendees and athletes, we are embarking on the JFK renewal voyage.

Please join us for the Ships Voyage Renewal Celebration on Saturday, November 26th. The JFK will be host to all-day basketball with Manitowoc vs. Two Rivers in boys and girls Freshman, JV, and Varsity games. Varsity Girls at 5:00 and Varsity Boys at 7:30. A Renewal Celebration Presentation will take place between the two Varsity games. Come see your bleacher seat!

Here is a photo of the six new basketball hoops that were installed this week on the side court. Once the moisture is out of the concrete, the process of installing the wood floor can begin...hoping for dry weather for the next few weeks!

This divider will significantly increase the capacity of the facility by allowing multiple practices/events to occur simultaneously in a very effective manner. Here is the Stalker Flooring team painting the new center court logo. The blue tape is used as a guide for painting the competition lines and the white sheets are stencils for painting. These guys are pros....they do about 80 courts per summer.

The renewal of the JFK is in full swing....here is a photo showing the painted ceiling, red walls, and the flooring getting its new paint and graphics (after it had been completely stripped to bare wood). In the background, you can see the new concrete flooring that was poured to support the new wood floor that will be installed when the the concrete completely cures. Much more to do but off to a great start!!

Construction on the JFK Renewal began on Monday. Here is a photo that shows where the new floor will be going. The area is now prepared for cement to be poured next week. After approximately 3-4 months of letting the concrete set/dry, the new wood floor will be installed.

Received a call from a woman who wanted to purchase a bleacher seat in her husband's name as he passed away a few years ago. He was a custodian at Lincoln High School for several years and she said he took great pride in maintaining the JFK and really felt appreciated by the Lincoln High School family. She felt this would be a wonderful tribute to him.

Just received a great bleacher seat order....the 2008 Ships Volleyball team all got together and each purchased a seat. They requested that we put all 15 of them together....they brought the community together for their trip to state in 2008 and now they are coming together for the community again!!
