This is the absolute best hike when staying at Camp Manzanita!

The hike is a section of the Oregon Coast trail between Falcon Cove Road and Falcon Point. This is an "out and back" hike.

Getting to the trailhead: The trailhead is near the intersection of Falcon Cove Road and Highway 101. From Manzanita, head north on highway 101. Drive 6.1 miles on 101, turn left on Falcon Cove Road (it’s a small road, so watch for it.) The trailhead is on the left side of Falcon Cove Road, 50 yards from Highway 101. There is only room for about 5 cars to park near the trailhead. Start the hike heading south on the Oregon Coast trail. The hike will take you to Falcon Point. From Falcon Point turn-around and hike back the exact same trail to your car. This is a strenuous hike with some elevation gain. The full out and back takes at least 2 hours.

Since the hike is an ‘out and back’, you can make the hike as short or as long as you wish. I think this hike is prettiest on an overcast, misty morning.

This trail is not heavily hiked and one of the prettiest hikes I’ve ever done.

This trailhead is about 15 minutes from Camp Manzanita.
