Ok, here we go with the “Captains for clean water” hate again. Let me jist say this..
I used to think the organization was a sham and bunch or captains looking to make an extra buck. A lot of you out there do. These guys may get a paycheck but is anyone else going out of their way to unite people to fight for what’s best for our waterways?!? Yes there are a few organizations but do they unite anglers and everyday working people the way CFCW does? These guys have families they leave to fight in D.C and go to all the hearings that no one else wants to go to!
I know and see some of them on the water daily busting ass like Rhett Morris over 300 days a year and they still find time to fight for what no one else wants to speak up for! I promise you,him and all the other guys do it cause they have seen the damage done to our ecosystems over the years, not for the”payback”! Talk to him or any one of them for 5min and you will see the passion they posses for our waters! They truly care!
No one thinks about all the travel expenses, the lawyer fees, filing fees etc..
After hurricane Ian I lost everything. CFCW made sure I had clothes and anything else I needed to get through the hardest time of my life!
They got every major fishing clothing brand to donate clothes and opened a free charity giveaway to all captains and even the general public towards the end. Anyone do this for our industry? West marine? Bass pro? You all support these major companies everyday but can’t support a local organization fighting for what’s right?! Shame on all of you!!! These people care! Stop bashing them! Until you stand up and do something yourself try supporting an organization that simply wants the best for our waterways!!!
