And just like that, lake levels are back to normal.
Cant wait for spring boating!

Lake rose all day and night and is now slightly high! The marker stick is hard to see but it's there, about an inch above the waterline.

Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office - Roger L. Harris Sheriff

So much thanks to Spotsylvania Fire and Rescue for helping our Animal Control rescue a stranded duck off the ice on Lake Anna.
While the duck was not frozen to the lake the surface of the lake was slippery enough that she could not get enough grip to walk or fly off the ice. Our friends at Company 9 were able to assist her gently to shore. Thank you to some citizens who also tried assisting with getting the duck off the lake. Spotsylvania County Fire Company 9
