Last night was a beautiful 3rd Annual Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Move Night - a classic for kids and the kids at heart! Thanks to all who came out with tasty treats and snacks to share, and for the donated kids coats/toys collected for the Modesto Gospel Mission! Already looking forward to next year!

She got out in a home near Edgebrook Drive and Oakbrook Drive last night. Her name is Lucy.

Reminder that there is an MPD/City Town Hall this week! On October 24th, MPD is hosting a townhall meeting at La Loma Grace. In addition to learning more about the MPD's Area Command Division, it will be a great opportunity to engage with members from several City Departments!

Modesto Library will close for a 20-month renovation starting Nov. 30, pending approval. The $18.1 million project includes asbestos removal, ADA improvements, and visitor upgrades.

We are blessed today with a new little library at the native garden! Built by a local friend of the garden and installed by neighbor, Vaudie Bristow.
Thank you so much to these two generous and supportive individuals who enjoy the garden and our libraries. Let’s all do our best to take good care of it . Bring your books to share. This will be a library for adult readers. We continue to also have a little library for kids books in the children’s garden section of the garden(the East end).

Dear Neighbors. There are 4 young boys (looks to be between 12 and 14 year olds) that have been throwing rocks at neighbors homes. Does anyone know these kids? Please be aware if you see them. They have been confronted and don’t seem to care.

Hello Neighbors,
A generous friend of the native garden has built a new little library for the native garden and we are in need of a volunteer to install it.
If anyone is able to provide their skills to attach the library to the post in the garden that would be great! You can view the post near the west end of the garden near the big bulletin board.
The library will need to be secured well and may need braces to support it. You must have your own tools. Here is what it looks like. I know many are looking forward to having a place to exchange books again. Post here if you can help. Will contact you for delivery.

In the La Loma Area, we have our own private security patrol service that patrols the streets, parks, and alleys of La Loma day and night! We would love for you to become part of this program, to ensure we are able to continue to drive the crime out of our neighborhoods with this program!
