When you love the people you work with, it's all fun and games! Just saying...

I'm so thankful to be able to continue working with my publishing clients, while at the same time having found a group of truly talented women who share the same passion for travel that I do. Of course, there are now more than 40 of us all working together. The agency has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. This photo was taken recently on the Disney Magic, sailing to Nassau.

Right now, the K family (2 adults and 2 kids, 18 and 15) is sailing their way through the fjords of Norway on the Disney Dream. How do I know this? I booked them! But cruises like this are not all Mickey Mouse! That's for sure.

If Scandinavia has been on your bucket list, now is the perfect time to plan for next summer, when The Disney Fantasy (sister ship to the Dream) will be sailing out of Southampton, England, leaving August 10-18th.

Fly to London. We'll plan your time there so that you get the most out of the city and its wonderful traditions and culture. Disney will then transport you to Southampton (about an hour's drive) on embarkation day. Or, spend time in London upon your return from the cruise.

This particular cruise gets tends to get booked way in advance, so now would be the time to think about whether your family might enjoy it.

RIVER CRUISING IS THE WAY TO GO:

It's such a treat when happy clients send photos and texts to thank me for booking their vacation. Makes me smile!

These folks are currently on a Viking River cruise in the south of France. Here's what they wrote:

"The ship is great. Clean, comfortable, and the veranda was a good investment. We've met some nice people. The food is delicious. And the crew, helpful, friendly, willing to do anything."

Now, doesn't that say it all?!

If you haven't considered a river cruise, I highly recommend them. I never hear a negative comment, and it's the perfect way to explore new countries without having to unpack more than once.

FUN FACT!

Did you know that if you, like me, enjoy a day at the pool while the rest of your family trots off to explore the parks at Universal Orlando, you can pool hop around to different hotels?

That's right! Coffee in the morning at one, maybe a little lunch at another, and later that afternoon, if you're not baking in the sun and too comfy to move, a little drinky poo at a third.

Of course, there are some rules about this. But essentially, if you are staying on property at one of Universal's hotels, you can use the pools or poolside amenities at nearby resort hotels. FUN!

For example, guests staying at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal Aventura Hotel may pool hop to the pools within this group. Other hotel groupings have their own restrictions.

So the next time you book Universal, give yourself a pool day and splash around to your heart's content!!

I'm just back from a 4-night Bahamian cruise on the Disney Magic, sailing to Nassau. What a really fun time!

While this may not be the cruise of choice if you don't have young children, it is certainly cruiseworthy for anyone who is young at heart! And, it's the perfect short getaway. You definitely feel like you've been away, but not for too long.

This cruise packed a lot in! Sailing out of Port Everglades, Florida, we stopped for one day in Nassau, and then on to enjoy some beach time on the island of Eleuthera. Lighthouse Point is Disney's newest beach club, and unlike Castaway Cay, their other private beach club, a visit here comes complete with a Junkanoo Parade and lots of razzle dazzle.

It's colorful, sunny, and has all the amenities you might want for a day at the beach, including free lunch served with a smile! The only downside, if there is one, is the long walk from the ship to the island. But there are strollers and other transport vehicles if needed. We walked.

It's the perfect getaway for a family with young children, with a pirate party one evening, character meet and greets, fireworks at sea, all you can eat ice cream (if parents allow it!) and so many other fun treats, including Disney quality theatrical productions at night.

The real magic, however, is seeing all the smiling faces, from the moment you're met by the crew upon boarding to the hugs kids receive when they meet all the characters. It's no wonder that families fall in love with Disney, and keep coming back for more!!

But this particular sailing offered a short, memorable getaway that felt like a whole lot more!
