It's time to get ready for the Fourth of July; with the holiday just a month away, let's get ready for another terrific, hot, and successful year. This year's festival will be a bit different. The Chamber Mixer will kick off on Wednesday night, and the event will begin on July 4th with the walk/run and parade and vendors on Castle Street, fireworks will be held at Lake Siskiyou at dusk.
Street vendors will be there all day Friday and Saturday, as well as live music. Get your dance shoes ready because we have some fantastic music this year. 🎆❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

National Park Week is just around the corner! What's National Park Week? It's like a week for national parks.

Yes, this is happening. Now that we have that out of the way, runs from April 20 to April 28. Entrance fees will be waived on Saturday, April 20, to kick off the celebration and encourage everyone to enjoy their national parks in person. (You don't all have to go to Yellowstone. We love you Yellowstone.) With over 400 national park areas, there are parks closer than you think.

Mt Shasta Ski Park update.

A break in the storm gave us beautiful blue skies up here at the Ski Park to kick off the weekend. We expect to be back in the clouds by this afternoon with several feet of fresh snow potentially yet to come. The incoming extreme weather conditions may impact operations throughout the weekend with potential delayed openings or wind holds. Please be patient with our teams as we manage the large dumping of snow.

This weekend is the second Banked Slalom Event at the Ski Park and it looks like we will even get a break in the storms and have a sunny day.
All are welcome to partake, you just need to sign up in the morning and have a helmet. This is a super fun event that will take place on the lower section of Challenge off of Marmot, so you can even see the course from the base area! Join for a chance to win a number of great prizes provided by our community partners.
