Another beautiful day in paradise! Kept 4 out of 20 with the limit being 16” it is hard to catch a meal but we are preserving our future. Now if they would outlaw gigging the flounder would actually have a chance. For those who don’t know gigging is for people who can’t fish so they go out at night with spotlights and a long spear and stab everything in sight with very little law enforcement out there in the middle of the night they literally get away with murder.

After flying past my boat about as wide open as they could go spraying creek mud all over the sides that I just waxed. These DNR officers hit the sandbar in about 6 inches of water. I have been complaining to the DNR office in Conway about different people flying past within 5 to 10 feet of all of the boats and dock’s they are destroying. And then their own officer’s do it at the lowest level of water I have ever seen in my 14 years of living in this house. When they finally got the boat turned around and came back by the dock my friend asked them didn’t you know about the sandbar? He laughed and said we know now. This is part of his training! 🤬

One of the best things about where we live is you can fish the saltwater in our backyard or go across the road and it’s about a mile to the Waccamaw River. Otherwise known as the International transatlantic coastal waterway. Running from New York to Florida.
