Construction continues on 1050 Water Street, a 22-story, 788,000-square-foot multifamily development in downtown Tampa. This series of construction images reports progress on various portions of its expansive façade, comprised of large, operable, factory-style windows designed to fill each apartment home with natural light and air.

As a nod to the South Beach Art Deco Historic District, the Goodtime Hotel’s tower and entry are clad in fluted GFRC panels, connected by a sawtooth stucco façade. The resultant shape of the building catches light differently throughout the days and seasons—inherently dynamic without being excessively ornamental.

The Wythe Hotel’s contemporary roof addition features thousands of lights set behind glass to provide a subtle yellow glow. This detail drawing demonstrates the placement of the lights within the shadow box construction of the four-story glass and metal block.

MA Art curated, sourced, and installed over 40 works of art at NEXUS Club NY, a private social and business club offering more than 34,000 square feet of carefully curated amenities and F&B offerings in Lower Manhattan. Located just off the High Line, 520 West 20th Street is a recently completed commercial office building comprised of a four-story brick warehouse, built in 1914, with a cantilevered overbuild that adds three stories appearing to float above the existing structure. While the contemporary addition and historic warehouse may appear to be completely unrelated, they are in fact shaped by their relationship with each other.

We are very excited for the opening of The Goodtime. Located in South Beach’s Art Deco Historic District, the boutique hotel reflects the thoughtful repurposing of an entire block of connected single-story façades. The modern, mixed-use development features an expansive pool deck, lounge, and restaurant, as well as specialty retail spaces on the ground floor to invigorate the public realm.
