I'm planning to be there myself for Memorial Day weekend and I can't wait to check it out!

I'll be returning with my family and staying at the new Universal Helios Grand Hotel in June. This gorgeous new hotel is practically inside Epic Universe and has it's own dedicated entrance into the park.

Hurricane Milton update for Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is making the following adjustments for the safety of its Guests and Cast Members beginning tomorrow, Oct. 9.

* On Oct. 9, the theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1 p.m.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m
- Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.

It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 10 is canceled.

*Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, Oct. 13.

*Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating Wednesday, Oct. 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close.
Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.
Recreation

*Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Disney’s Blizzard Beach remains closed for planned refurbishment.

*Effective immediately, Disney will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences.
Pre-paid bookable experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.

For everyone in FL and in the path of this hurricane, please be safe and follow all of the local guidelines.

I’m back from an amazing few days away with my husband and will share the trip report soon.

Sadly, this morning we lost one of our beloved cats, Smoky, suddenly and unexpectedly. It doesn’t seem right to share my trip photos today.

Smoky was the best cat and was such a funny animal. He loved laying next to me where ever I worked, but my desk was his favorite. His favorite place to nap was on top of the basement refrigerator. It was in perfect place to nap quietly, was always nice and warm, and within our reach whenever we walked down the stairs for a quick head rub.

We will miss you so much Smoky. Bandit will hold down the fort here for now while you nap for hours and hunt for Tsum Tsums all day long! (His favorite toys were the Disney tsum tsums).

BREAKING NEWS - changes coming to the Disney Genie+ System..

On July 24, Walt Disney World will introduce new, simpler names to provide more clarity for everyone. Disney Genie+ service will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Disney will also be updating Lightning Lane passes so that guests can:

✔️Make Lightning Lane plans before you’re here, for added confidence.
✔️Choose your experiences and times prior to purchasing, so you know what you’re getting.
✔️Book Lightning Lane passes for multiple vacation days, all in a single day.
