On my birthday last week, I spent the day exploring Espanola Island. There were a lot of Albatross sightings. The entire population of adult Waved Albatross birds return to the Galapagos during nesting season each year, and we got to see it! You must see these islands while you still can!

Day 5 on our river cruise we explored Middleburg and Veere, in the Netherlands. We visited a working oyster farm and had lunch in Middleburg. Then enjoyed the cute town of Veere, shopped, and tasted the local bevvies!

We had the pleasure of sailing with Avalon Waterways, on the Avalon Passion. Our first stops were in the Netherlands, Schoonhoven and Dordrecht. These were cute, local towns, with some beautiful buildings.
