Calling on all family, friends, and weather enthusiasts: We need your help!

Many people know that I am a driven, goal-oriented individual who sets a goal and aims to exceed all expectations. This year, Jennifer Bunting Nicholson and I are setting our sights on the biggest goal we’ve ever set out to accomplish: Establishing Mobile Weather Office, a media providing team that seeks out and reports on extreme weather events (tornadoes, hurricanes, winter storms, fires, etc.). We will provide live streaming video and reports/interviews, among other products to news stations across the country. Our goal is to provide ground truth so you can take appropriate action to save lives and property. In addition, we are looking to introduce middle school students to meteorology through lab kits we create.

Jenn and I started a campaign (link below) to collect donations to help lift this project off the ground. We could use your help! Whether you choose to donate to the project or simple pass on the word by sharing this post, it all helps the cause.

We appreciate all your support!

We are out chasing in the High Plains with Richard Barnhill, Billy Vess, Larry Scott, and our guest TV meteorologist Chris Havely. Yesterday, we toured the Badlands in South Dakota and then chased strong and severe storms around Rapid City. Here is the live shot Chris recorded with his news station KCRG (Cedar Rapids, IA) early this morning.

With the jet stream taking such a hike to the north this weekend, some beautiful and warm weather has graced eastern Iowa. However, for those of us searching for storms in the middle of the country, this theme has not been as welcome.
