I LOVE the outdoors, but I’m not a fan of tent camping 🫣 I used to let this hold me back from considering myself an “outdoorsy” person and going camping. But, not anymore 🙅🏻‍♀️

Why you should hike the [Falls Trail at Ricketts Glen State Park] this spring ⤵️

🥾 The trail passes 21 natural waterfalls, including 94-foot Ganoga Falls

🥾 Several route options, ranging from 3.4-miles to 7.2-miles roundtrip

🥾 Due to snowmelt, the waterfall flow is heaviest during the spring season

🥾 It is less crowded in spring than the summer

🥾 It’s free to visit—like all PA state parks, there are no entrance or day use fees

🥾 You can bring your dog! Just be sure to keep them on a leash

Whoa, I cannot believe it’s a full week into September already! This past month has been SO busy, but also so much fun.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone 🫶🏼

I spent Sunday morning hosting a group hike and ecstatic dance yoga event with .carabello at Tyler State Park. Hosting group events is new for me, but meeting up with like-minded women and spending a sunny morning together out in nature filled me with gratitude 🥰

Was I fearful that no one would show up? Of course. Was I worried I would be awkward? 100%. Was I nervous to try ecstatic dance for the first time? Yes.

BUT, fear is universal, and life requires courage ✨ Courage to try new things. Courage to break out of your comfort zone. Courage to show up as your authentic self.

Adventure buddy for life! 🥰

Today, Sam and I celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary 🤍 Each year, we have the tradition of going on a road trip to hike, eat charcuterie, and just spend uninterrupted time together. This weekend, we’re headed to the Catskill Mountains in New York for our annual trip. Toby is even joining us this year 🐶 Looking forward to disconnecting and relaxing for a few days together!

Unedited Friday photo dump, featuring Toby 🐶

In the afternoons after work, Toby and I regularly go for a walk together at our local park, just the two of us. Usually, we do a short 1-2 mile loop, sometimes longer. I’ll often listen to a podcast and take in the scenery.

Lately with the nicer weather, towards the end of our walk, I’ve been finding a park bench to sit down on, decompress, and just enjoy being outside for a little bit longer🌲 Toby will then voluntarily jump up on the bench and crawl into my lap. And he will just patiently sit there with me and watch the world go by. It’s become our new routine and as simple as it is, it brings me so much joy 🥰

We truly don’t deserve dogs 🥲

First group hike ✅

My greatest takeaway from this app has always been community 🫶 and I feel so fortunate to have connected with this group IRL for a hike this past weekend 🥰 Thank you so much to everyone who joined me!

One thing I’ve learned this past year is that there are amazing experiences and personal growth waiting for you outside of your comfort zone. So if anything, I encourage you to choose fear and take on new challenges 💪🏼

There’s nothing more empowering than proving to yourself all that you're capable of 💫

For my entire adult life, I’ve allowed 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 to rule my life. These *untrue* beliefs about myself have held me back from pursuing goals, reaching my fullest potential, and even living authentically as myself.

Now, I understand that the way I talk to myself is a direct reflection of the limiting beliefs I have about myself. But, by discovering the power of my internal dialogue, I’ve been able to overcome limiting beliefs that I’ve been carrying around with me for so long.

Instead of telling myself that I’m not strong enough, capable enough, pretty enough, smart enough, creative enough… I’ve been practicing speaking to myself from a place of self-love and inner truth. And the changes I’ve seen in my life are 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 🥰

By believing in myself and focusing on a growth mindset, I’ve been able to focus on new goals and feel confident in a way that I previously never thought was possible.

⭐️When you let go of fear and claim your personal power, you gain the ability to unlock true freedom⭐️

30 🎉

For the past couple years I’ve had a lot of anxiety around turning 30. What 30 is “supposed” to mean. What I should be doing or should have accomplished by this age. Where I should be in my career. When Sam and I should try to start a family. Or that I should have a better idea of how I envision the future.

Instead, my 29th year has been the most formative year in my adult life 🥰

I stopped putting my happiness at the back burner. I learned that doing things for myself isn’t selfish. I joined the most amazing gym community. I started therapy (and stuck with it). I took two college courses outside of my current career field. I completed two amazing tourism board collaborations. I made more friends in the past year than in the past five. I traveled to and hiked in New Hampshire and Colorado. I visited one of my best friends in Chicago. I learned about a thing called boundaries and the power of saying no. I started worrying less about what my body looked like and begun to appreciate all that it does for me. I accepted that timelines are bu****it. I embraced my independence and individual interests. I became stronger mentally and physically. And for all of that… I’m extremely proud of myself 🥲

I’m still working on all of the above, but I can say that 30 feels fu***ng good 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻and I am looking forward to what this next decade may bring. I have one (amazing) life to live, so I’ve committed to go ~live it bb~!!!

🌿Maybe it’s the way that the natural greenery is taking claim over the man-made boardwalk

🥾Or the small scuffs on the toes of my boots, showing all the years of wear and past adventures I’ve taken
