It’s possible we haven’t been formally introduced…Despite owning a storefront and operating two very public businesses, I rarely seek the spotlight. So, if this is your first time making my acquaintance, I’m delighted you landed here.
At my side is my better-half & husband, Kevin — often captured in stories where heavy furniture is being moved — and our grumpy , Hoagy. As a fourth-generation McCloudian, Kevin’s ties to the former Mill town of McCloud are what inspired us to follow a job post and leave Hawaii 5 years ago, relocating to this hamlet of 1K. As for me, I jettisoned back into CA real estate, having worked in the industry before we made our 2016 move to Honolulu. Thankfully, it’s what engrained me in our community, and preserves my bird’s-eye view on our town and the customer at large.
I’ve always sought to feather more creativity into daily life. A background in art conservation + anthropology fueled a passion for cultural material, travel, and language that I’d never quite figured how to translate into a living wage. When the pandemic hit, I felt compelled to create “something” and lean into the What If that had been hushed. So, as I began 2022, lacking most everything that equated to sure footing, I started to envision a brick & mortar based lifestyle shoppe, consciously curated, celebrating local makers, and above all, standing apart from the crowd. With a singular conviction, “Peregrine” took flight by late July. At month six, our offerings now include more partnerships that we’re excited to introduce as you follow along.
