One of my top recommendations for places to make dinner reservations during your Universal Orlando Vacation is Toothsome Chocolate Emporium.

This restaurant and confectionary has a steampunk vibe and is super popular, with good reason. The menu is extensive, so I always recommend taking a peak at it before you get there. Order the Chocolate Bread, it’s a must!��If you don’t want a sit down meal you can visit just the confectionary to purchase some artisanal chocolates to take home or you can head to the counter to order an over the top milkshake!

Hasn’t every Harry Potter fan dreamed about sipping a cold glass of butter beer and eating their chocolate frog? While I cannot help you with the frog part, here’s a quick way to make your very own butterbeer at home.��All you’re going to need is:

1/2 quart of vanilla bean ice cream
2 tbsp butterscotch syrup
12 oz cream soda
1/4 cup of ice
whipped cream

Put your ice, ice cream, butterscotch, and your cream soda in a blender. Mix until combined. Add more ice until you reach your desired consistency. Add more butterscotch syrup to taste.

Get a cold glass, drizzle some butterscotch into your glass, and pour your butterbeer mixture in. Add whipped cream on top, add a little more butterscotch syrup on top of that, and enjoy!

“Can Universal Orlando be done in one day?”

Simple answer is yes! If you prioritize a few top things to do between each theme park and invest in park to park tickets + Universal Express Pass you can technically say you did it in one day.

But the whole truth is that it’s just too much to see and do in one day between attractions, shows, characters, and food.

‼️ A tip I have for clients who want to do one day is to let me price out putting them on-site in a premier resort the night before they plan to visit Universal Orlando.

These resorts include Universal Express Unlimited Passes and they are valid the day of check-in and check-out. Sometimes it’s cheaper to do it this way, plus you get all the extra perks that come with being a Premier Resort guest.

Did you know that once you are strapped into VelociCoaster you are in for over 2 minutes of nonstop adrenaline? The ride even speeds up and the second half is faster than the first!

The details in the ride queue are also fantastic. It’s very well done and anyone who grew up on the Jurassic Park franchise is going to enjoy it.

PS. Don’t forget about the meet and greet with Blue. It’s one of the most unique character experiences you can have in a theme park!

I want to share that I practice what I preach!

Next up is: ❓How do I add Genie+ onto my day? ❓Is it worth it for me to add Genie+? 🧞‍♂️Once you decide you want to use the Genie+ system, you then have to decide if you want to use it your whole trip OR pick and choose the days you want it. You can add Genie+ to your trip by: 1️⃣ adding it onto your tickets for the FULL length OR 2️⃣ by purchasing the Genie+ daily. *video below show how easy it is for daily add on* ❗️If you decide to do the daily purchase you can do so starting at midnight the day of use. Here is my recommendations on what makes the most sense in my opinion. Genie+ is worth it if: ✔️ You’re going to Magic Kingdom ✔️ You’re going to any/all of the other 3 parks and want to do most things/everything there. ✔️ You want to do rides across multiple parks. It’s great for Park Hopping! ✔️ You have a short trip/limited time in the parks ✔️ You’re going during a moderate-busy time (which is ~80% of the year) ✔️ You simply want to minimize waiting in line as much as possible ❗️Here is how it worked out on our last trip. Before we left, I had planned to ONLY get the Genie for the one FULL day we were going to be in the parks. I ended up getting it 2/3 days. Truthfully, if we had more time on that 3rd day to justify the cost, I would have gotten it that day also (I’ll cover why in the next post). We went during a busy time.
