With the expansion of the out of the box program ( call for details!) our menu design program is taking off as well.

From our Kids Menu's to typesetting packages and Full custom designs our Graphic Designer is able to take what you have and turn it into a product that will draw your customers eye.

An exciting menu is just as important as the cover it comes in. We eat with out eyes first, as they say and clear concise descriptions, intriguing colors and an often incising pictures of the products you serve are great ways to get your guests to focus on your best kitchen accomplishments.

One great trick to the trade is NO TEMPLATES. Each design is unique to you and can be as custom as you want it. So, if you are thinking about menu covers, take a look at your menu itself and ask if it could be doing more work for you.

Risch has the capability to enhance artwork to create a logo for your menu covers that stands out. This is the same process we use to create logos from scratch and also goes hand in hand with our menu design option.

This article is a great way for customers to get an understanding of how Graphic designers go about creating a logo and how ultimately the logo will represent your business. Think about it, one logo designed for your menu covers can go on to be the same logo used on merchandise sold in house, flyers for promotions and will represent your brand. It also works both ways, adding an already well known brand image to your menu covers creates a cohesive and complete look. It is serious business!

We had fun reading this article and getting a little more insight to our art departments mindset. Hope you do too!

The professional logo design process is a rather serious business involving seven distinct stages, all with an aim to create a unique, memorable symbol that adds value to the company and makes it stand out in the market.

This month, we have had some fantastic requests for custom covers that we were, admittedly, unsure if we could meet.

Having the benefit of our manufacturing team just two doors away allows us to never say " no" without first trying to create a customers vision. To us it is easier to tell a customer if we can do something by giving it a go, than it is to simply turn them away. This approach offers avenues for new methods of manufacturing, material testing and even sometimes new products.

Another great byproduct of research and development is being able to tell a customer why something won't work, which gives our sales team the knowledge to direct customers to finding a menu cover that will. Manufacturing in house is a great advantage for our company and for those looking to break the mold when it comes to their table tops. Have a vision for your Menu Covers? We can help.

We hope everyone had an amazing weekend. A holiday always brings a rush of products heading out the door. A long weekend was a great way to end the hectic schedule and take some time to relax!

Thank you to all of our staff who make Risch A possibility. We hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day!

A few weeks ago we got a call from a customer who needed menu covers ASAP! It was tough but, working with one of our best partners The Yes Group as well as US Foods we were able to get it done in record time!

Fast forward to today, we received a box of cookies to share not only in the front office but with our entire production team! ( it was a big box!)

Everyone worked hard to make the order happen quickly while also meeting the vision that the customer had for their menu covers.

We are thankful for each and every order we get and each job, no matter how big or small is treated like the most important. We really do appreciate the gesture.

Thank you again Red Cow, US Foods and The yes group.

Improvements come in many forms and while we know our products are top notch we want to make sure our entire company is performing at its best. Upper management has been meeting with Dean Brainard to go over our company goals and how to achieve them. This was definitely one "out of the box" field trip that brought on some exciting new ideas for Risch!

Here at Risch we use metal dies to print your custom logo onto our products. We usually keep them on file for years to make re-ordering easy but, sometimes these dies don't get used again.

Here are just a few, heading out to be recycled. Some are about 10 years old!

Going to shows like NRA in Chicago means more to us than rubbing elbows and showing off product.

It means getting insight into an ever changing industry and seeing where our (and our colleagues) imaginations can take us.

NRA this year was great! We hope you enjoy what is to come next!

What were some great aspects of NRA that wow ' ed you this year?

Changes in the ranks for Risch! Our team has been doing some shuffling and we want to congratulate Rebecca and Janette on their new roles within the company.

Rebecca is our new Customer Service Coordinator

We know they will do well!

Mother’s day is one of the busiest for Restaurants. Don’t make these classic mistakes that might land your business in time out on this lucrative holiday.

Don’t overbook – It might seem like a great idea, never to turn people away but, think about the overall experience and how overbooking could hurt your service times.

Have enough menus- if you are opening outdoor seating and not adding more menus then someone is going to be left out. Risch recommends menus for 50-75% of your seating for breakfast and dinner, 65-80% for a busy lunch destination and 20-35% of your seating for dessert menus.

Train your servers and yourself! - New menu item means taste testing and studying for your team. The longer it takes for someone to ask and answer a question the longer it takes for you to turn around a table.

Have fun and make everyone feel welcome!
