Did you know that we have 3 handicap beach wheelchairs that we loan out and drop off to your beach house? These are available on a first come first serve basis and can be reserved by messaging our page. Reservation and use is FREE, however donations are accepted. Wheelchairs are only available in Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo.

Everybody deserves a chance to chill on the beach 🏖️

SpaceX, Falcon 9 satellite launched from Cape Canaveral, Fla and visible in the OBX night sky (from my favorite chair on the top deck!). We can often see satellites when they are launched. Very cool!

I am thrilled to announce our plans to open
Sea Chef Dockside Kitchen, a restaurant situated within the stunning new building at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center.

Sea Chef Dockside Kitchen will blend a traditional fish shack with modern culinary influences and will showcase both breakfast as well as an all-day menu. Featuring counter service and a full bar, guests can enjoy our delicious offerings while soaking in waterfront views of the world-renowned Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Whether you prefer takeaway, indoor or outdoor dining, guests can immerse themselves in the spectacle of the top-notch charter fleet unloading their daily catches.

The new establishment will boast a private room and deck, affording us the opportunity to host an array of on-site events. This space can accommodate events such as wedding receptions, corporate gatherings, and unique events like pop-up dinners. Sea Chef Dockside Kitchen will remain dedicated to its roots, offering catering services throughout the Outer Banks.

This endeavor marks the realization of a dream for me, especially the privilege of operating a restaurant alongside my father and James Beard Award-winning chef, Jeff Buben. Together, our mission is to curate a menu that champions our commercial fishing community while delivering an unforgettable experience. We eagerly anticipate extending our warm hospitality to all this spring and look forward to sharing more details soon.
