The heart of our business is with the design trade. We find that designers have the vision required to enable us to use our talents and resources to the best of our
ability. We are one of the oldest and most experienced custom labor shops in the Sacramento area. Allied Custom Upholsterers began 36 years ago when Breuner's decided that it would be better not to have their own custom labor shops. They gave the upholsterers the chance to set themselves up as an independent shop that Breuner's would then contract their work. The eight upholsterers and seamstress did just that; forming a corporation made up of craftspeople whose mission was and continues to be to provide high quality workmanship using the finest materials available. Today, there are twelve of us who make up Allied Custom Upholsterers and we have a combined experience of over 275 years. As our reputation grew in the Sacramento area we began doing work for many of the finer furniture stores and top independent designers. Over the course of the last few decades we have been contacted by designers from around the United States who have clients in the Sacramento area. We have done work for many discriminating and impressive clients including several past governors. We have made every effort to maintain the integrity of our work by having rigorous standards of quality and always working as a team.
