Our crew has spent the past 25 years perfecting our guided boat excursions, kayak tours, & sailing trips on the inland waters surrounding historic St. If you only see our town from land, you're missing out! Constantly striving to reduce our impact as a company, we operate the most fuel efficient boats with engines that produce ultra low emissions. We have adopted new technologies to reduce print a

dvertising impacts and operate a paperless back office. Our continuing goal is to give back to the community through research and presentations. In the future, we will take this a step further by building a program that offers under privileged schools the opportunity to get on the water for natural observation experiences. Augustine Eco Tours combines over fifty years of experience in the ecology based tourism industry and understands that, now more than ever, important measures must be taken to maintain ethical observation standards. We have the ability to teach thousands of guests about the importance of local wildlife and habitats and understand that with this opportunity comes great responsibility.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) announced an initiative yesterday proposing major changes to various State Parks throughout Florida.

Today, with only one week’s notice, FDEP announced public meetings throughout the state scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27th. The meetings will consist of a presentation and an opportunity for public comment, but with only an hour allotted, they do not appear to include a question-and-answer period.

🩷What is the pink bird seen in St. Augustine, Florida? It’s not a flamingo! It’s a Roseate Spoonbill with bright pink feathers, red eyes staring out from a partly bald head, and giant spoon-shaped bill!

These birds sweep their spoonbills through shallow fresh or salt waters, snapping up crustaceans and fish. They fly with necks outstretched, to and from foraging and nesting areas along the coastal southeastern U.S., and south to South America. These social birds nest and roost in trees and shrubs with other large wading birds.
