Well the day has come! It’s official y’all…we are Empty Nesters!! 🤭
It’s Father’s Day and I want to recognize my love on this day as the wonderful father he is. Our children are flourishing adults and my heart is glad. This peace surpasses all my understanding. God has been faithful and this new chapter in our lives is going to be sweet.
I did cry a little y’all, but this was tears of joy as I think of all He has done for us. Let’s get on this plane and go HOME Alex! ✈️♥️🥳

Jamaica 🇯🇲 is continuing to upgrade and make the transition in and out of the country, so much smoother for travelers. It’s pretty exciting! Along with the ability to complete your Entry forms online about 30-days prior to your departure, the Sangster International Airport now has E-gates with facial recognition to pass through immigration quickly and efficiently!

Did you know yesterday was officially THE first day of Spring!? 💐

First day of spring 2024

The reason the first day of spring was March 19 was because 2024 is a leap year. Leap years are caused by Earth's rotation. A year is 365 days, but technically it takes the Earth slightly longer to orbit around the sun.

The Earth takes 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 46 seconds — or 365.2422 days — to fully orbit the sun, according to NASA. Those extra hours are eliminated from the calendar most years. But every four years, an extra day is added to February so the calendar and seasons don't get out of sync. If this didn't happen, the extra hours would add up over time and seasons would start to change.

Those leap years cause the first day of spring to happen earlier than normal.

Have you ever seen a mangrove?

I had the pleasure of going to one in Roatan, Honduras and swam in the beautiful clear water. Mangroves have purifying qualities and the clear water is a result.

We used a tour guide who offered to take us to this off the beaten path spot that was a true surprise!
