How to get in?
First of all, once inside Hamad International Airport proceed the First and Business Class check-in area. There you will see friendly staff, pointing which direction to go. Business Class passengers turn left towards Al Mourjan, First Class passengers turn right towards Al Safwa. The Al Safwa lounge is quite exclusive and not that easy to get in, though totally worth it. To enter it, you either have to be flying First Class or have a connecting flight from First onto a Business flight in Doha. Yet, this lounge is not opened for top tier members of Oneworld (Emerald). Those traveling Qatar Business Class or are top tier Emerald in Oneworld can not use this lounge, instead, they can proceed Al Mourjan Business Class Lounge.

Once completed your check-in you will walk down a long hallway into the center of the lounge. The lounge itself is very massive and spacious and even has it’s own duty-free area. Here you can find exclusive perfume selection, electronics, brand clothing and much more. In the very lounge center you will find a huge fountain, bringing relaxing and calming touch. The fountain has a very specific shape, reminding of a waterfall. The whole area allocates comfortable leather chairs, ottomans and private pods. All the settings here are for visitors increased privacy. In addition, the lounge also has a great collection of arts and antique artifacts, placed all across hallways.
Any Gourmet Treats?
The lounge offers self service drink station with soft drinks, water, and coffee as well as the main restaurant, capable to seat up to 250 people. Here the guests can have a la carte meal of Mediterranean and Italian cuisine dishes. Wide selection of exclusive alcohol beverages could be found in the restaurant bar. For example, here you can enjoy the Pommery 2002 Cuvée Louise Brut which runs about $150 per bottle. Apart from a la carte restaurant, the guests can enjoy tasty snacks in second dining area. There is a sushi bar, salad buffet and sandwich station for custom made sandwiches. Closer to the entrance, those with a sweet tooth will find a pleasant surprise. There is a separate dessert room with different cakes, fruits and traditional sweets.

What About Spa?
As any other First Class lounge, Al Safwa allocates extensive spa area and wide range of treatments. The hallway walls, leading to spa area are decorated with water sliding panels. You will definitely find a right way there without getting lost. Unlike many other airlines, Qatar Airways does not offer free spa treatments, yet the quality of service is worth paying. whirlpool bath, separate shower rooms, relaxing room, pedicure, manicure, massage, rituals and much more.

For those seeking for something more relaxing, there are 15 nap rooms nearby the spa area. Each room has either a twin or single bed, a TV, chair, desk, clocking rack and private bathroom. Bathroom is stockedwith shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, shaving kit and tooth kit.
Is There Something for My Kids?
At the very back of the lounge there is the family area, offering about a dozen of semi-private individual living rooms. Every room has leather sofas, TV, chairs, ottomans, tables and extra space for luggage storing. The family area has several kids rooms, designed for infants, young kids and teenagers.
