East Matagorda Bay Reports of Some Bird Action.. Gulp or live shrimp under popping cork. 20 inch leader. Drift midbay "deep water reefs." Also, TRIPOD SUNUP. Look for slicks.
Downey Canals- Juvenile Trout feeding sunset in Upper Canals. Use light tackle. Catch/ release.

Careful driving on part of the beach. The sand is very dry.

Good wind fish conditions this weekend. Early morning Clear water mouth of Caney Creek and Mitchel's cut. EMBay is good early morning on the South Shoreline. Fish Deeper water as heat of day comes on. Look for slicks. Popping cork with Shrimp. Drift with plastic.
Careful traversing the sandy part of the beach today and for next week because the sand is so dry.
