A local excavation a few years ago challenged long-standing claims that the Vaults held slaves being auctioned. Savannahs's history is troubled at times, but always fascinating.

Juliette Gordon Low famously hosted the first Girl Scouts meeting in the family parlor. Today, it's a beloved house tour enjoyed by many of our city's visitors!
