Hi folks! Aupaircare North Orange/Long Beach is seeking a new Area Director (starts March 1).

Please PM us if you are interested in managing the territory.

Requirements:
**Eligible to work in the US
**18 or older
**Experience working in a management or mentoring capacity with college aged people, or someone who has travelled overseas extensively, or someone who has experience in a culturally diverse workforce which has many workers who hold VISAs. Prior experience in HR, retail mgmt, social work, counseling, teaching, etc all are great transitional jobs; however these experiences aren't mandatory, but having them would help provide empathy and cultural understanding in your position as a mentor to 15-25 college aged exchange students and in coaching their families to help embrace the cultural benefits of using foreign student to provide American families with live in childcare.
**MUST LIVE IN THE TERRITORY (anywhere in North Orange/Long Beach, meaning: north/west beginning in Costa Mesa/Tustin up to Yorba Linda/Brea or South East of Whittier down the 605 into the Lakewood/Long Beach area, all North OC Beach cities, and anywhere in between). No exceptions.

Officials also warned of high surf and urged people to avoid going into the water. Wave swells could top 30 feet on the Central Coast and 15 feet in the L.A. area.

^^^ This is why we needed to postpone our Whale Watching trip this weekend! I hope you all stayed safe and dry, and *avoided the beach*. However... Disneyland, Knotts, and Universal were probably pretty empty today! :-)

November event.... we would love to have a thanksgiving dinner at a host family's house for the au pairs. Each au pair could bring a treat from her home country. I'll bring potatoes and a turkey! Plan the afternoon... time to be determined but probably between 1 and 5pm on November 20th. Does a host family have a home with an eating area large enough for 15 people? Volunteers can text me!

Be careful out there when driving! This morning is the first day of rain in southern California for a long time. Road are slick with oils and people forget that they cannot stop very fast on slick oily roads. Take extra caution when braking and if you do not need to go out.... stay home.

Reminder for our Host Family Day.... Newport Beach Harbor Tour with all the au pairs and families from the South and North OC and I.E.! Be at the Balboa Fun Zone at 11am on Sunday. Bring a sack lunch for everyone in your party - we'll provide some munchies and drinks. Boat will be back by 2pm. Park at the Balboa Pier and walk across the Blvd to the Fun Zone.
