Disney also announced dates and a few new additions to Mickey’s Not so Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World!
“This year’s separately ticketed event will kick off Aug. 9 and will take place on select nights through Oct. 31 at Disney World. Tickets go on sale for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green on May 8. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale May 15.
The dates for 2024 are:
* August 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30
* September 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
* October 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31

It’s Halfway to Halloween and we got some big announcements from Disney today! First, Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland will include more nights this year!
“With more nights than ever before, Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will return to Disney California Adventure park for the 2024 Halloween season, with plenty of villains lurking at every corner! For a frightfully fun time at this separately ticketed, after-hours event, guests of all ages are invited to wear their favorite Halloween costumes* and enjoy an evening of immersive treat trails, unique character sightings, special entertainment, themed merchandise, food and beverages available only during Oogie Boogie Bash nights, and so much more!
Admission to the after-hours event also includes entrance to Disney California Adventure park three hours before the party begins and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party. We had the best day on Disney’s private island when we cruised on the Wish back in March. I cannot recommend a Disney cruise that visits Castaway Cay or soon to be open Lookout Cay enough! The islands are so nice and peaceful but with wonderful touches of Disney magic.
We had such a lovely spot in a private cabana and it was even better because we were surrounded by Star Wars fans with our Starcruiser family. So, of course my swimwear had to be Star Wars inspired. Leia is such an inspiration for me, so full of hope and grit and always standing up for the people who need it most. May the force be with you always!

Thanks to years of personal and business travel, and the unending need to research everything before each trip, I have become an expert at travel. I became the person who people come to for help planning vacations, especially Disney, Universal, and luxury vacations. A friend said to me last year while I was helping her "Why aren't you doing this for a living?" That made me pause and think...and led me to more research. Although I knew I didn't want to leave my career at Nordstrom, my research brought me confidence that I could also be a travel planner! There are just too many super cool drinks on Disney cruises, both cocktails and non-alcoholic mocktails. It’s so hard to choose! My current weaknesses are drinks with a big bubble on top, flavored smoked drinks, and drinks that smoke from dry ice…especially in the Hyperspace Lounge on the Wish.Have you tried any drinks on Disney cruises? What was your favorite?
People always ask me “what’s the best time of the year to go to Disney?” To which I reply “any time!” Real talk, Disney parks are pretty much always busy these days. Yes, you do have some weeks that are a little less busy than others, but there’s really no such thing as “low season” at Disney anymore. You should decide on the best time for YOU to go!
