Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce

Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce Our Mission is to provide connections to resources that support sustainable growth and prosperity.

Membership includes retailers, wholesalers, service industries, manufacturers, industrial parks, banks, churches, nonprofit organizations and individuals. We have a rich history in Sedro-Woolley based on the can-do spirit brought by hard-working men and women as they forged their way in the great forests of this valley called Skagit. This tradition of hard work and community was well documented by

world-renowned photographer Darius Kinsey who based his photography studio right here in S-W in the early part of the 20th Century. Many of his works are on display throughout the town and also at the Sedro-Woolley Museum.

What a beautiful day in the PNW, huh? While it's nice that warmer weather is here, be mindful of your pets and their safety! Never, ever, ever leave your pet in the car for any length of time - not even a minute. It can be deadly! Protect their paws and be mindful around water. They're counting on you!

Our office is closed June 19th in honor of the Federal Holiday, Juneteenth.
Tomorrow we celebrate Juneteenth, a significant day in American history commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, bringing the news that the Civil War had ended and that all enslaved people were now free—two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation.

Juneteenth is not only a celebration of freedom, but also a time to reflect on the ongoing struggle for equality and justice. It's a day to honor the strength and resilience of African Americans and to acknowledge the importance of continuous education and advocacy for civil rights.

Here's how you can join in the celebration and make a difference:

🔸 Learn the History: Take time to educate yourself about the significance of Juneteenth and the broader history of slavery and civil rights in America.

🔸 Support Black-Owned Businesses: Use this day to discover and support Black-owned businesses in your community.

🔸 Attend Events: Participate in local events, parades, and festivals that celebrate Juneteenth. Many communities host educational and cultural activities that are both enlightening and fun.

🔸 Read and Share: Read books, watch documentaries, and share information about Juneteenth and African American history with friends and family.

🔸 Advocate for Change: Use your voice to advocate for policies that promote racial equality and justice. Every action, no matter how small, contributes to a larger movement for positive change.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, let’s remember that freedom and equality are ongoing pursuits. Let's commit to working together to build a more just and inclusive society for all.

Happy Juneteenth! 🌟✊🏽🖤💚❤️
