Laurel Fall Changes coming
If you have recently gone to Laurel Falls, you are aware of the limited parking now. The below list are the announced improvements:
- Expanding and improving parking including a shuttle service to the trail
- Resurfacing and widening the trail
- Building a new viewing platform
- Installing new signs at the trailhead and along the trail
- Building a wider bridge at the falls
At the start of 2024, the work will begin, and Laurel Falls will be closed for approximately 18 months while the work is being performed.
If you were wondering what the park is doing with the additional revenue from the parking fees, this extra revenue will help fund parts of this work.

Have you heard of the Deerfarm Exotic Pet Zoo and Riding Stables? You can feed camals, horses, zonkey, goats, deer, donkey, mini horses, gunaco, etc. You will see a pot belly pig, large rabbits, ostriches, etc. This place also has a very nice horse riding stable where they have 30, 45, or 60 minute guided riding tours. At the beginning of the ride, the guide will take your picture, and you could get a nice Mountain View in the background with asking the guide.
Have you ever been to the Sinks? Last week we saw this crazy guy in 40 degree temperature Kayaking with wearing a wetsuit. At night my wife saw a story on the news of a search and rescue for a kayaker in the Sinks. Not sure if it was this guy or someone else.
