Turner Trees are available on the 1st Saturday of December and the following Sunday. For an additional charge, you also can arrange to have your tree delivered and we'll even set it up for you. Some of you may know the history of Turner Trees, but for those visitors that don't...
In 1960, the Turner family bought a cabin on Lake Glenville near Cashiers, NC. In 1978, Nancy Turner bought some proper
ty on a ridge nearby. While, the view was beautiful, the thought of growing a few trees for friends in Tampa pressed on Nancy. As the first trees matured over the next few years, Nancy brought 20 or 30 back to Tampa for friends that wanted them. They LOVED the trees. They were trimmed lightly to maintain natural shape. Full, lush and aromatic, the Fraser firs also lasted through the holidays. As people saw Nancy's trees in her friends' houses, interest grew. At High Covey Farm, a Christmas tree business was born. Now, 30 years later, many friends and return customers show up on the first Saturday morning in December to kick off the Christmas season. It's not just a time to pick out a great tree, it's also the first chance to share warm Christmas greetings with friends. So, come to shake hands & hug friends, but come early because most of the trees and wreaths are gone by 2 p.m. on Saturday.
