Hello again friends!
Here we are again on the cusp of another 4th of July weekend! We all know what that means. Cookouts, parades, fireworks and fun! If you're venturing to our neck of the woods you might be hiking, riding the trails, fishing or enjoying Pittsburg's lakes. We ourselves are starting the weekend with pancake breakfast at the Twin Mt Firehouse on Saturday followed by a Fisher Cats game in Manchester. Looking forward to time with family and friends. But as we go about all the fun things we'll also take time to fly the flag and remember those brave men who 248 years ago pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to start this great country we all live in. Even with all the division in the country nowadays we are blessed to live in the greatest country on earth! Happy 4th Friends! Stay safe!

90 years ago today, the highest wind speed recorded by man was observed on our very own Mt Washington! Happy Big Wind Day!

It's ! Ninety years ago today, weather observers on the summit of Mount Washington recorded the highest wind speed ever measured on Earth at 231mph.

Well we just want to thank all the guests who spent their winter vacation time with us. It was a strange winter but good times were had by all! Things are slowing down as we transition into the spring/summer season so we are taking some time to relax and enjoy a vacation. We will be closed from March 11 to April 6th to have some fun and spruce things up for the warm weather. We already have booked so many dates for this upcoming summer. Is it President's Day weekend already? Time flies when you're having fun! The Ammonoosuc House has been busy since the New Year started and we have enjoyed welcoming our 2024 guests. We still have some mid week availability at the end of the month and the 2nd week of March! It's also not too early to be thinking about booking your spring and summer fun. We have guests who come stay at the Ammonoosuc House several times a year. They are the only ones who ever have a snowcampfire. Our pit was buried so what's a good host to do? Pack down around pit on snowshoes, light a fire on top of snow to melt it for them. Can't let a good fire go to waste though! Go San Fran!

Finished the Christmas decorations today at the cabin. We have availability in December. Come on up and hunt for your tree, Santas Village, Bretton Woods, shopping in Lancaster and Littleton, or snowshoeing! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Happy Labor Day from the Ammonoosuc House. It looks as we finally may get some summer now that it is almost over. We are fully booked for September but have availability starting in mid October.
